mission

HP Arts is a non-profit corporation supporting HPISD arts programming. It was established in 1987 by a group of parents with children attending schools in the Highland Park Independent School District.

The specific purpose of HP Arts is to enrich HPISD students' educational experience by encouraging their interest and participation in the arts.

***All HP Arts members are invited to attend the General Membership Meeting at 11:30 am, April 8, 2008 at the HPHS Small Auditorium.

After a brief business update, you will be treated to a tour of the arts classes and activities at the high school. It is a great behind-the-scenes look at our arts resources in action!***

HP Arts sponsored the Le Theatre de Marionette performance of "The Wizard of Oz" on April 25 for kindergarten students at Bradfield Elementary. Students delighted in seeing the puppets comes to life in this classic tale. Puppeteer Kent Williams shows students Storey Harbison and Alex Clark how to operate the Toto and Flying Monkey puppets.
We feel a responsibility as a part of the Park Cities community, as parents and as your friends and neighbors, to help all the children attending schools in the HPISD find areas of education and experience which will give them the greatest opportunity to develop their individual potential as people."
