HP Arts is a non-profit corporation supporting HPISD arts programming. It was established in 1987 by a group of parents with children attending schools in the Highland Park Independent School District.

The specific purpose of HP Arts is to enrich HPISD students' educational experience by encouraging their interest and participation in the arts.

We feel a responsibility as a part of the Park Cities community, as parents and as your friends and neighbors, to help all the children attending schools in the HPISD find areas of education and experience which will give them the greatest opportunity to develop their individual potential as people."

How to use this site

You may use this web site to join HP Arts through our Membership page, contact our Board members or contact your child’s campus representative with any questions you may have or feedback you may wish to give us. Find out when HPArts Board meetings are scheduled, together with information about other important meetings and events in our district by using the Meetings & Events resource.

You can also access the HPISD web site by using our direct link. The web site also contains information about what is going on within HPISD’s various departments for Fine Arts and information and links concerning UIL competitions, performances, events and programs through our Arts Department News link. You can read our current Artisan publication together with any relevant articles and bulletins pertaining to the arts both nationally and in our local area.

You may also use this site to find local resources for the arts in our area and access information for students choosing to continue to participate in the fine arts in higher education through our Arts Resources and College Resources links.

Take a Seat Encore

HP Arts Invites You To TAKE-A-SEAT (ENCORE)

Following the tremendous success of our Take-A-Seat campaign HP Arts launched Take-A-Seat Encore last year.

The object of this campaign is to continue where Take-A-Seat left off and our goal is to have all the seats of the HPHS Auditorium SOLD OUT!

The HP Arts/La Fiesta funded plan to remodel the balcony is well underway and there will be plenty of new seats to sell. Once completed this will be the last stage of the complete overhaul of the High School auditorium.

For only $500 you may purchase a seat in honor of a loved one, your family or a even a teacher or department. The choice is yours. Your name or that of your honoree will forever be permanently engraved on a beautiful brass plaque on the chair arm.

We urge you to consider purchasing a seat for your student – a seat in the auditorium makes an especially poignant graduation gift – one that will remain in posterity.

Ordering is easy – just download the form below and return it with your check to the address shown , together with the information you wish to appear on the nameplate.

How to Apply for HP Arts Funding
If you are a full time member of HPISD faculty on any of our seven campuses you are free to apply to HP Arts for funding to support an arts related program for your classroom, grade level or school.

The submission procedure is easy.

· Locate a program you wish to enhance your curriculum.

· Fill out the form – downloadable below (available in either word or .PDF format).

· Include the TEKS which validates your request.

· Have your principal sign your request.
· Submit it to Linda Raya at the address provided on the form.

Please note that HP Arts is unable to provide funding for tickets to performances, supplies or lodging.

Play it Again, Sam

HP Arts has a program, “Play It Again Sam”, designed to recycle instruments from the community back into the school arts program. Look around! If you have an old or unused instrument lying around collecting dust, please consider donating it to the “Play It Again Sam” program through HP Arts.
